One of the things that made Diah Ayu Nawangwulan committed to being a Yatim Mandiri regular donor was her desire to help orphans. She always remembers, because she also wants to side with the Prophet Muhammad, like two adjacent fingers in the last day. "That's one of my motivations. When I knew the name Yatim Mandiri, I was sure the program would focus more on orphans," recalled Diah.
Until finally in 2012, Diah joined Yatim Mandiri while still working at the Regional Secretariat. However, when he was transferred to the Hospital (Regional General Hospital) Lawang, Malang, Indonesia, she did not break the relationship with Yatim Mandiri. "I said I still wanted to continue. And I also invite friends in the new office," said the Head of the Sub-Section of Finance at the Lawang Hospital.
Diah also often puts Yatim Mandiri Magazine in the office desk. "To be read by friends. Thank God, from there many joined. After four years, there have been 70 of these people. Hopefully it can increase," said Diah.
Each month, the seventy employees who become donors distribute their infaq by cutting salaries. "To make it easy, we cut salaries according to their abilities and desires. Starting from Rp. 25,000 to Rp. 100,000," said Diah. (grc)
