Inauguration of the Learning Center for Orphans of the Tsunami Victims in Kertamukti Village, Pandeglang
To restore and stimulate the spirit of learning, especially the children who were victims of the Sunda Strait tsunami that hit Pandeglang District, some time ago, Yatim Mandiri inaugurated the joint construction of the "Giri Mukti" Community Learning Center (PKBM) building. Located in Sukasari Village, Kertamukti Village, Sumur District, Pandeglang, Friday (7/26).
Present at the Yatim Mandiri Program Director Hendy Nurrokhmansyah, General Manager of Yatim Mandiri Regional Office 3 Sugeng Riyadi, Yatim Mandiri Banten Branch Manager Andi Setiadi, Regional Education and Culture Coordinator for Sumur Mahjum Rusdiana District, PKBM Chair Giri Mukti Ade Apandi, Sumur District Health Center Medical Team, and student / student of UIN SMH Banten. In addition, as many as 100 orphans and poor people are present as beneficiaries.
Before the inauguration, the event began with health counseling, health services, distribution of nutritional packages and free dental examinations by the Sumur Sub-district Health Center medical team to residents and orphans of the Kertamukti Village.
According to Hendy Nurrokhmansyah, the construction of the PKBM is a Yatim Mandiri humanitarian assistance program and the support of various parties. "The joint development of the PKBM is supported by various Yatim Mandiri donors and Telkom Indonesia. We thank all donors, and hope that the Kertamukti Village community, especially orphans and poor people, will be more enthusiastic in learning to reach their dreams, and continue their education to a higher level, "Hendy said.
He also said, Yatim Mandiri opens opportunities for orphans and poor people to take part in the Boarding Education Scholarship Program from junior high to undergraduate level (S1) which is managed by Yatim Mandiri.
Meanwhile, Mahjum Rusdiana expressed his gratitude to Yatim Mandiri, Telkom Indonesia and all parties who have contributed to the development together with the Giri Mukti community learning center. "Hopefully with this new PKBM Giri Mukti building, the community, especially children, will be increasingly helped to improve the quality of their education," Mahjum said. (*)
