Jajang Akhmad Nasrulloh Yatim S1 Scholarship Recipients Who Will Leave The Village To Be Successful
Jajang Akhmad Nasrullloh was no longer able to resist his emotion. His eyes were wet, when he flashbacked his memory when his beloved father breathed his last breath. He told me in a trembling voice, about the father's struggle against diabetes for 7 years. "My father suffered from a complication including kidney failure, so every two weeks my father had to wash the blood," he said.
The father passed away in 2015. At that time Jajang was 20 years old. As long as his father was sick, Jajang and his mother took care of him. So for him, memories with my father were when he accompanied his struggle against disease to get well. But, the destiny of Allah SWT is no longer negotiable. Jajang and his mother can only surrender and sincerely accept this plan of God.
Being an orphan is an irony for him. While still needing a father figure with all plans that have been carefully designed, but immediately vanished with the plan of the Almighty. That was a reflection of the feelings felt by the young man born on November 27, 1996. Even though his father had died, he was no longer a child.
At the age of two, Jajang already had a job. He works in a well-known sugar factory in Lampung. He got the job because of the official ties from his school. But he only worked for 1 year, and chose to continue his education to a higher level.
Get out of the comfort zone
Already have a decent job with a brilliant career path, and certainly have income. However, all that he left behind. And chose to migrate to East Java to continue their education to graduate level. In 2016, Jajang received free lecture information in Surabaya.
Namely at the Mandiri Entrepreneur Center (MEC). Jajang was interested in the Independent Orphanage program, because it offered an education and skills to prepare for the independence of foster orphans. Although initially there was little doubt in him to make a decision. "Especially the mother who burdened me to continue my education in Surabaya. But after everything I tell and give understanding, the mother gives permission to study at MEC, "he said.
Departing with his mother's permission, Jajang also took a selection test conducted at the Lampung Yatim Mandiri Service Office. In short, he successfully passed the selection and was accepted at MEC as an Accounting Department student, whose campus was in Surabaya. The city of Surabaya is a new place for him. Environment, friends, conditions, clearly different. And he must start from scratch. Had felt disappointed with the situation, because it did not match the expectations imagined. Because it is all the way of choice, Jajang must be able to make peace with the atmosphere and circumstances. Must accept everything. Because the road to success is not easy.
With his enthusiasm for success, and not wanting to make his mother disappointed, Jajang can easily adapt to his new environment at MEC. But the road to independence for him is not yet close. This time a new challenge must be faced. MEC provided an opportunity for him and 15 other students to become students of the An Najah Indonesia Mandiri Islamic College (STAINIM Yatim Mandiri), which is now called Universitas Insan Cendekia Mandiri (UICM). The campus is located at Jalan Sarirogo No.1, Sidoarjo.
This UICM is a further education program from Yatim Mandiri after from Insan Cendekia Mandiri Boarding School (ICMBS) Middle School and High School. "I am grateful that I was chosen to receive a S1 scholarship from an orphan. Because my first motivation was to migrate because I wanted to continue my education at the undergraduate level, "he said.
Jajang with 15 other students is the first generation as scholarship recipients at UICM. As the first generation, there were many ups and downs that Jajang passed.
Now the youngest child of the late couple. Dedi Winetra and Wiwi Rusmiati have reached the 6th semester at the Faculty of Islamic Economics. Not only being a student, Jajang has also worked at PT. Deltapack Surabaya Industry, as Quality Control. "I am responsible for the product that will be sent. Besides that, I also handle it as an admin, "he said.
Now Jajang is just waiting for time to harvest the results he planted first. He is just one step away from realizing one of his dreams, namely completing his education and getting a Bachelor's degree. The work that he used to live in to migrate, has now been replaced with a better job. From the results of his work, Jajang can collect a little to save. In addition, he can also set aside a portion of his income for his mother who is in Lampung.
When asked about what the revolution would be for the next 5 years, he answered that he wanted to open a business that would later open up jobs for his friends, especially for orphans and poor people. "I have a desire to open a business that can be useful for me and others. I still hope, may God hear and grant my prayer. Aamiin, "he concluded ending. (IRS)
