Mie Ayam RR, West Jakarta - Stay Alms Despite Simple Trading
Every 10 am, Susianti Hayuningtyas came to the Kebon Jeruk area. Delivered by her husband, the woman who is familiarly called Susi is ready to serve chicken noodles for residents of housing and offices around Kebon Jeruk. RR Chicken Noodle, written on a simple green banner, closes the chicken noodle bunch.
Since 2001, precisely since graduating from high school, Susi began to vent to trade. Since she was young, she really loved the world of entrepreneurship. From snacks to cold drinks he tried. Susi, who is also a culinary hobby, then learned to make chicken noodles with her uncle who had already traded. "I learned from my uncle. "Starting from making spices to processing chicken to make it delicious," he recalls.
Finally, Susi began trading in Jakarta's residential alleys. He moves frequently. However, because of marriage, he had a vacuum and joined work for people. "But the trading instinct is indeed strong. I decided to trade chicken noodles again, "said the 37-year-old woman.
Susi began his business again. With the experience and recipes he had, he began trading around Kebon Jeruk. "Because my house was still in the Bintaro area, so it's far to come here. "It's about an hour's drive," Susi recalled. The struggle is not only there. Susi is still moving around frequently due to a lot of development.
"It used to be in front of one of the shop houses, but was told to move because of construction. Then move again in front of people's homes. And thank God, now there is a good place in front of the expedition office, "said the mother of two children. Here, Susi gets many customers, ranging from office workers to residential residents who are looking for lunch.
Every day, Susi starts trading activities since 07.00 WIB. "I am very relaxed in this trade. Going to the market doesn't have to be Fajr. Then start cooking just at 07.30 WIB. And arrived at the location at 10:00 WIB. "It will close when Maghrib," he explained.
Everything he prepared and worked on by himself and assisted the husband to prepare the cart and cook water. In a day, Susi can spend around 5 kg of noodles and 3 kg of chicken. "Everything I make is fresh on the same day so I don't use leftovers the day before," he added. At a price of Rp. 12,000, customers can enjoy a bowl of chicken noodles and Rp. 13,000 if added with dumplings. It feels like a restaurant quality despite its location on the edge. About 50 bowls of chicken noodles are sold in a day. After more than 15 years of trading starting from the price of Rp. 5,000 chicken noodles, Susi also felt a variety of grief. Starting from feeling tired because you have to do everything yourself, to a holiday that is only twice a month. "But of course I live happily because this is my hobby. Hopefully later I can have a kiosk to make customers more comfortable, "he said hopefully. Despite being preoccupied with this effort, Susi did not want to forget her obligation to commit tithe. He started to know Yatim Mandiri about 2 years ago. "At that time one of the Yatim Mandiri employees ate here. Then told me about Yatim Mandiri and invited me to donate, "recalls Susi. Since then, Susi has been a regular Yatim Mandiri donor. He felt it was very easy to help orphans and poor people because they were always reminded and were able to pick up donations. "I am very happy if someone is here to pick up donations. It can be friendship too, "he said. For Susi, simple trading does not prevent her from always sharing with those in need. "Although a little, it is important to be routine and sincere. Because I believe alms and zakat do not reduce our sustenance, "he explained. Susi also felt many benefits after becoming a donor. "Alhamdulillah, the trade business is facilitated by God, and it feels like there is an inner satisfaction," he concluded. (grc)
