Creative Ramadan Islamic Boarding School: Teach Yogyakarta Orphans to Make Constellations from LED Lights
The Creative Ramadan Islamic Boarding School which was held by Yogyakarta Yatim Mandiri with orphans, is full of educational content. A total of 50 orphans and poor people were so enthusiastic and excited to take part in the activities held at the Royal Mansion Regency Housing, Banguntapan, Bantul Regency, on Saturday - Sunday (18-19/5).
In this opportunity, the orphans were taught about the sunnah during fasting. Starting from iftar together, fard prayer, tarawih prayer in congregation, sahur meal, and morning exercise.
As for practicing creativity, these orphans and poor people are taught to make stars from led lights and used paper. They were helped to develop their creativity by the Jogja Astro Club Community (JAC).
Meanwhile for the learning theme "Dare to Show Dare to Speak", orphans are taught about how to tell stories or tell stories in front of their friends. This material was delivered by Pandu from the Indonesian Muslim Storytelling Brotherhood (PPMI). (*)
